One Fantastic Weekend!

I hope everyone had an enjoyable, safe, and fun Fourth of July weekend! It was fantastic to be able to spend such a great weekend with great family and friends!

William and I saw fireworks two nights in a row! He loves the boom and glisten when they go off before him. I was always scared of them as a kid :(. I hated the loud noises, as my parents had to force me to the grassy fields, pulling me along. As I look back on it, I’m forever grateful that they did though! It dazzles me to see them go off now and forever.

I know I didn’t state this in the opening, but I wanted to thank all of the troops because of what they do for not only my family, and me but for everyone in the world! They put themselves on the line and I’m forever grateful.

I know Fourth of July only comes once a year, but we should always have care and love for our troops, family, and country! So I say Thank you.

Happy 4th of July!

I hope everyone is having a great 4th of July! I know I’m excited for the long weekend. I hope everyone is traveling safe whether you already left, or will be leaving soon!

I plan on spending the day at a BBQ with William, and of course Sheba will be tagging along. Feel free to write about any 4th of July plans you have this year! It’s always an exciting part of the year. USA! 🙂 🙂 🙂

The Start of Something New

With the sun out, and summer in full frontal, I’ve been seeing very cute boys. I don’t think too much about dating now that I have William, but I think its time I put myself back out there.

It appears that every time I walk my dog I can’t help, but look at all the handsome other men in the park. I never knew it was a requirement if you had a dog! I don’t usually run with Sheba too much, but she might have to start if I’m going to meet one of these guys!

Summerfest-2013----black-background

Ahhhh! Summerfest is coming, and I can’t seem to handle my excitement! I love to go and see all the bands. It also gives me some time to be with my girls and enjoy the great weather!

It will be here soon and that makes me very happy! 🙂 If you have never been before then I recommend going. Ticket prices are only $17 dollars for the day. And you can get discounted bundle rates! That is a steal, for anyone trying to see an artist with ticket prices so high.

Is anyone going this year??! And who are you going to see?!

Is Gluten Free Healthy?

I was with one of my girlfriends the other day eating a delectable burger. She ordered the same thing I did, however, she didn’t get a bun with her burger. It wasn’t necessarily shocking and I figured she was just on a diet. As we were eating and talking (and a little bit of gossiping I suppose!) she told me she was now eating gluten-free. I knew what gluten free meant and what it was, but I have never looked into the beneficial aspects of it. She walked me through how she came to be gluten free. She exclaimed that after a series of migraines and stomach aches a friend told her to try it out. She has been feeling great ever since, so it piques my own interest a bit.

gluten free products

I love going to the grocery store and saving money. I think even trying to be gluten free is a little too expensive for me, but I did make a gluten free pizza to see how I felt and sample the taste! It wasn’t bad at all! I was able to get my inspiration from A Gluten Free Guide. I think I’ll learn a few more gluten free recipes in the future to to try out for William and I. Who knows, maybe I will try to make it a more permanent lifestyle in the future!

I can’t Get Enough of You, Sheba!

Today couldn’t have been any weirder! I was sitting at work until I received a call from the doggy daycare. They were calling to tell me that I had to pick Sheba up, because she was disrupting the other dogs too much. I couldn’t believe it! I know she loves to play, but that is too funny! Sometimes she has too much fun!

When I got to her, she was happier than ever. And I got the chance to leave work for a little bit. :p She still is the cutest thing to me!

Give the Dog a Bone

I always enjoy doing things for Sheba to keep her happy, and healthy. This time I decided to make some dog treats for her that she had to love.

I obviously was scrimmaging through pinterest, and came across the recipe. It seemed simple enough, and entertaining to make as well. I also was pleased to have a helper! William was extremely excited when I asked him to make the treats. It was nice to make them together, and Sheba loved them!

Remember the Days?

Although I wish to refrain from talking about my family too extensively, I can say that a close family friend of mine graduated from Marquette University this past week. It is so refreshing to see students complete such an honor. I know they will go off and set the world on fire!

School feels so long ago for me! I hardly remember the days of living in the dorms, or pre-gaming for the bars before a night out with the girls. However, I can say that it was a great time in my life and I wouldn’t take anything back from it. I’m so happy for her and to all those that graduated!

First Pitch!

Today, William and I went to our first Brewers game of the season. I love going to the stadium and cheering for the team! Hopefully the boys will have a good season this year!

William and I shared two hot dogs and cotton candy. Yum!! Sadly we lost against the Cardinals 6-1, but I still couldn’t ask for a better day with my son.

Always remember that a simple trip to an event or game can get you out of the house, while also relieving stress (well for me it does J). And it’s the same price of a movie, but memories are made!

Growing Up Faster than Ever!

I can’t believe that William is growing up so fast! He is out growing everything in no time. I feel as though I buy a new pair of shows every other day. Its crazy to think that he will be a teenager and then an adult. I need to stop before I start crying.

I have come up with the secret to buy things a little bigger now knowing he’ll grow into them in time.

I was going through some of his old baby clothes and couldn’t help, but think of all the good memories we have had together. I truly am seeing a boy grow up into a young man before my eyes.
